Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, stressed that the UAE is currently witnessing a growing momentum in all economic sectors and hosting major economic conferences and events, noting that the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, aim to consolidate the country’s position as a global economic hub that brings together east and west, north and south.

UAE discontinues 3-month visit visas
The UAE has ceased issuing three-month visit visas, according to a call centre executive from the Federal Authority For Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Port Security (ICP). Instead, visitors can obtain 30- or 60-day visas, which can be issued by travel agencies. The three-month visit visa was previously available but has been discontinued during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dubai: RTA issues Premium Customer Card with benefits
The Premium Customer Card has been introduced by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai for its esteemed corporate and individual clients. The distribution of this digital card began with the sending of a link to customers' smartphones via text messages. Holders of the card are required to present it when visiting RTA's service outlets in order to enjoy a range of benefits. Currently, the initial batch of 40,000 customers has received this card, with plans for subsequent batches to be distributed in the near future.
