UAEU’s Bachelor of Science in Biology receives international accreditation

The Bachelor of Science in Biology programme at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) has received international accreditation from the Royal Society of Biology for a period of five years.

This esteemed accreditation underscores the university’s commitment to delivering high-quality education and preparing graduates to excel in vital fields such as biological sciences.

Prof. Maamar Benkraouda, Dean of the College of Science, highlighted the significance of this achievement, noting that the Royal Society of Biology’s accreditation process involves rigorous evaluation. The process assesses the quality of degree programmes against stringent criteria to ensure that graduates possess a solid academic foundation in biological knowledge and essential skills to meet high standards of quality and competence.

Prof. Khaled Amiri, Chair of the Biology Department, emphasised that this recognition reflects the College of Science’s dedication to continuous improvement, ensuring its academic programmes align with international standards and offer students a world-class education. This milestone further cements UAEU’s reputation as a leading institution in higher education regionally and globally.
