Abu Dhabi to host European Arab Medical Congress

Abu Dhabi will host the 34th European Arab Medical Congress from 11th-12th December 2024, organised by the Emirates Scholar Centre for Research and Studies, a subsidiary of the Emirates Science and Research Foundation. The event is held in collaboration with the Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO) and the Arab Med Union in Europe.

Taking place at the ZHO’s headquarters, the congress is supported by the European Medical Association (EMA) and the Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau.

The congress is one of the premier medical events, bringing together leading experts and professionals from Europe and the Arab world to discuss and review the latest trends and developments in healthcare. This year’s conference will feature a comprehensive programme addressing vital topics, including medical innovations, health technologies, global healthcare challenges, and ways to improve the quality of healthcare services.

The congress will include over 40 scientific sessions covering the latest innovations and advancements in medicine and medical technology, along with interactive workshops to enhance knowledge exchange among participants.

Dr. Abdullah Al-Humaidan, ZHO Secretary-General, stated that the congress is a vital platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration among healthcare leaders and those dedicated to advancing medical services.

He added, “This congress aligns with our steadfast commitment to strengthening local, regional, and international partnerships and advancing infrastructure and expertise in medicine and social care. We are confident that this scientific gathering will contribute to showcasing best practices and the latest research to improve the quality of life for People of Determination, helping them achieve effective integration within society.”

Dr. Fawaz Habbal, Director-General of the Emirates Scholar Centre for Research and Studies and Board of Trustees Member, noted that over 50 prominent speakers and more than 500 participants, including doctors, academics, and scientists, will attend.

He added that the congress offers an ideal platform for exchanging ideas and expertise and provides over 18 CME-accredited educational hours to enhance learning and professional development for all attendees.
