Dubai 10X: 33 Government Entities Submit 79 Proposals for Future-Ready City

The Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) has announced that 33 government entities in Dubai have put forward 79 project ideas for the third cycle of the Dubai 10X initiative. Launched under the guidance of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees at DFF, Dubai 10X aims to enhance government services and foster a forward-thinking mindset among public sector employees.

Aligned with Dubai’s ambition to become the world’s most future-ready city, Dubai 10X encourages collaboration and knowledge sharing. Several projects in the latest cycle were the result of partnerships involving up to 11 entities, with Dubai Municipality leading the way by participating in 16 projects, the highest number among all entities.

To prepare for future trends, challenges, and opportunities, over 25 workshops were organized as part of the third cycle of Dubai 10X. These sessions brought together teams from various government departments to discuss and develop innovative ideas and projects.

Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of DFF, stated that the third cycle of Dubai 10X represents an important milestone in government cooperation, supporting efforts to shape Dubai’s future in line with the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, as well as the directives of Sheikh Hamdan. The initiative has successfully fostered a culture of innovation and partnership among government entities, reflecting Dubai’s commitment to leading the way in shaping the future.

Belhoul added that the projects developed through Dubai 10X are based on unconventional ideas that drive transformative initiatives within the government. They are the result of collaboration among dedicated government teams striving to build Dubai’s future. The initiative has also contributed to skill development, equipping employees with tools for the future and encouraging their active participation in shaping the future of governance.

The project proposals were evaluated based on criteria such as their potential impact, implementation time, integration with other government services, and their contribution to enhancing the quality of life in Dubai. The approved projects will be announced at a later date.

Amer Abdulraoof, Director of the Dubai 10X initiative, highlighted the focus of the third cycle’s projects on leveraging partnerships to develop innovative government services that anticipate and adapt to changes. These projects reinforce Dubai’s position as a leading city in shaping the future of governance.

Since its launch in 2017, Dubai 10X has played a pivotal role in developing significant future-oriented projects in Dubai. These initiatives have facilitated the delivery of innovative government services and the resolution of challenges, solidifying Dubai’s status as a global hub for developing and exporting innovative governance models.
