Response Plus Medical, a subsidiary of Response Plus Holding PJSC, and e&, have unveiled the latest generation of 5G ambulances at Gitex Dubai, the world’s largest startup and tech exhibition, held from Oct.16 to 20, 2023 at Dubai World Trade Centre.
With the integration of 5G technology, RPM’s ambulance fleet now offers the capability of remote diagnosis, facilitating seamless communication between patients, ambulance personnel, and medical experts through etisalat by e&’s 5G private network.
The utilization of the 5G network’s high speed and low latency will greatly benefit Response Plus Medical’s fleet of over 350 ambulances. This will enable the vehicles to swiftly locate patients in critical situations, ensuring prompt delivery of immediate care. Additionally, real-time transmission of vital signs and health data from the ambulance directly to the command center or hospital will be made possible.
Lizinda Van Heerden, the Integrated Ambulance Fleet In charge at Response Plus Medical, expressed her enthusiasm for the advancements in technology. She believes that this 5G network will revolutionize patient care during emergency scenarios. The real-time data exchange between first responders and medical professionals will expedite the transfer of information, allowing for quick analysis of images and leading to more accurate diagnoses even before the patient reaches the hospital.
It is important to note that the first fleet of ambulances in the UAE has been connected over a 5G private network. This significant development will contribute to raising the standards of the country’s healthcare sector by providing effective solutions that deliver advanced patient care, support professionals, and promote the well-being of the population.
In addition to this, e& has recently entered into a partnership with the UAE Ministry of Education.
