Rhoda Al Ketbi, the Head of the Geological Bheis Park, announced the opening of the “Geological Treasures” exhibition, attended by Her Excellency Hana Saif Abdullah Al Suwaidi, Chairperson of Environment and Protected Areas Authority, along with several officials from government departments in the central region.
Al Ketbi explained in statements to “Sharjah 24” that the exhibition introduces visitors to the historical evidence of the formation of the local area dating back to before 93 million years ago, containing rocks and fossils dating back thousands of years, inviting the public and visitors to attend the exhibition, which extends for a week.
