In June, the Italian consumer confidence index rose from 96.4 to 98.3, while the business confidence index dropped from 95.1 to 94.5, Italian National Institute of Statistics (Istat) said Thursday.
The state’s agency, ANSA, noted that business confidence showed a third consecutive decline, settling at the lowest value since November 2023.
The decline is mainly due to the worsening registered in manufacturing and services.
In contrast, the consumer confidence index rose for the second month in a row and reached its highest value since February 2022.
