Mohamed Hadi Al Hussaini, the Minister of State for Financial Affairs, engaged in discussions with Shamshad Akhtar, the Minister for Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs of Pakistan, and Jameel Ahmad, the Governor of State Bank of Pakistan, during the final day of the Annual Meetings of the Boards of Governors of the World Bank Group (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Marrakech on the 15th of October, 2023. The two parties expressed their appreciation for the bilateral relationship and explored areas of mutual interest and opportunities for strengthening economic ties, particularly in fiscal, investment, and economic matters. Both sides emphasized the significance of ongoing cooperation to promote economic interests between the two nations. They also discussed the agenda of the annual meetings and the most recent regional fiscal and economic reforms. The Pakistani delegation confirmed the attendance of their Minister for Finance at the United Nations Climate Change Conference 2023 (COP28), which will be hosted by the UAE in Expo City Dubai.
