Dr. Sultan Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Deputy Chairman of the Arab Youth Centre, attended the ceremony honouring 53 young men and women from 16 Arab countries and more than 20 international and Arab media institutions. Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs and Chairman of the Arab Youth Centre, the ceremony marked the conclusion of the sixth edition of the Young Arab Media Leaders Programme, organised by the centre over the past four weeks across Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, and Ajman.
During his speech at the ceremony, Dr. Al Neyadi said, “H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed believes that youth are a force that we must invest in and provide with all opportunities for development. No society can progress without leveraging the power of its youth, who become active contributors across all fields development, especially the media sector, which is feeds our global reputation and status as Arab nations and communities.”
Dr. Al Neyadi also honoured the partner media entities and institutions for their various contributions and roles in upskilling participants, supporting their development journeys, as well as offering them employment opportunities.
The programme’s activities included a series of specialised seminars and lectures on media content production, presented by a group of leaders and specialists in the media field.
The Young Arab Media Leaders is an intensive upskilling programme that engages prominent media organisations and experts in providing the youth with the knowledge and experience required to advance the Arab media sector.
The initiative aims to enrich the Arab media sector with highly qualified individuals who understand the issues Arab people face and can explore them from a media perspective.
