UAE key global player committed to sustainability of aviation industry

The Director-General of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan Catalin Radu has highlighted the United Arab Emirates’ emergence as a key global player committed to the sustainability of the aviation industry.

Speaking to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) during the third International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) Conference on Aviation and Alternative Fuels (CAAF/3), Radu underscored the UAE’s leadership in innovation, embracing advanced technology, and adopting new regulations for the future of the aviation sector.

Hosting the current conference in Dubai, he said, reaffirms the international community’s confidence in the UAE’s influential and pivotal role in addressing climate change in the aviation sector at both regional and global levels.

“In Kazakhstan, we follow the UAE’s approach in the aviation sector and strive to be smarter and more proactive to ensure that we ultimately create a regulatory environment that adds value to society,” Radu added.

Emphasising the strong ties between Kazakhstan and the UAE in sectors such as tourism and aviation, Radu noted ongoing efforts to lay the foundations for future cooperation, particularly in safety and security, as well as on sustainability to support the pace of global aviation growth.

Radu also pointed to the long-standing trade relations between the UAE and Kazakhstan, highlighting the continuous efforts of both countries to foster development across various economic, commercial, investment, and tourism domains.
