Sharjah Consultative Council to hold third session on Thursday

The Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) will convene its third session on Thursday, 25th January, as part of its work for the first ordinary session of the 11th legislative chapter.

The session, to be held at the SCC headquarters in Sharjah, will be presided over by Dr. Abdullah Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Council.

25th Sharjah Islamic Arts Festival concludes

The Sharjah Islamic Festival, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and organised by the Department of Culture for 40 days with the participation of artists from different countries of the world, concluded the 25th edition.
Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qaseer, Director of the Department of Cultural Affairs at the Department of Culture, said that the festival reached an exceptional global appeal, thanks to the patronage of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, and His Highness’s vision of the importance of the arts as a cultural aspect.

No doubt, the traffic flow has also increased, but the travel time from the Business Bay area to the Financial Centre Street has also decreased: From a good five minutes to just one minute.

On behalf of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, attended the inauguration ceremony of His Excellency Felix Tshisekedi as the President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, after his re-election for a second term. The inauguration ceremony was held in the capital, Kinshasa.
