The Cyber Security Council of the UAE has issued a critical warning regarding high-risk vulnerabilities found in Google Chrome and various Apple systems. In light of these vulnerabilities, users are strongly advised to promptly update their software to mitigate potential threats. The vulnerabilities present in the Google browser have the potential to enable malicious actors to execute harmful code on users’ operating systems. The council emphasized the importance of updating Chrome to the latest version in order to safeguard against these potential threats. Google Chrome is the most widely used web browser globally, with approximately 3.3 billion users across all platforms. It holds a dominant market share of around 65 percent, according to data from Statcounter.
