Dina Ercilia Boluarte, President of the Republic of Peru, conferred the “Order of the Sun of Peru”, with the rank of “Grand Cross”, on Mohammed Abdullah Al Shamsi, in appreciation of his efforts during his tenure as the UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Peru.
Javier Gonzalez-Olaechea, Peru’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, presented the medal to Al Shamsi during an awards ceremony which took place at the headquarters of the Peruvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Gonzalez-Olaechea congratulated Al Shamsi on receiving the distinguished medal, which is considered the highest award conferred by the Republic of Peru on presidents and internationally prominent figures, in appreciation of their contributions to the Peruvian society.
Furthermore, Gonzalez-Olaechea commended Al Shamsi’s role in enhancing and strengthening relations between the two countries.
For his part, Al Shamsi expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the award presented by President Boluarte, and commended the Peruvian government’s cooperation and support. Al Shamsi also highlighted the deep-rooted ties that bind the UAE and Peru and the close cooperation that serves the common interests of the two countries.
