Sharjah Police pulls curtain down on Desert Police Park

Major Majid Saeed Al-Muhairi, the head of the organizing committee of the ‘Desert Police Park,’ revealed the total number of visitors to the fifth edition of the park in the year 2024, which reached 112,158 visitors, compared to 87,082 visitors in the fourth edition in 2020. He also disclosed the visitor satisfaction rate with the park’s activities, which reached 93% compared to 89% in the previous edition. Additionally, he highlighted the achievement of a 95% satisfaction rate among the 75 volunteers, including police personnel and their families, as well as partners.
This came at the conclusion of the fifth edition of the ‘Desert Police Park’ for the year 2024, organized by the Sharjah Police in the Al Kuhayf area in Al Batayeh since January 19 under the slogan ‘Together… Time is Beautiful.’ The park received wide participation from all segments of society, in addition to the interest shown by various entities and institutions in the emirate and other Emirates, who decided to break the daily routine of their employees by organizing their annual meetings and gatherings in the park.

Major Al-Muhairi explained that the success of the park in achieving its goals of spreading happiness among the employees of the General Police Command, government and private entities, and the entire community, was due to the direct interest and continuous follow-up of His Excellency Major General Saif Al-Zari Al-Shamsi, the Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, in the park’s activities, including entertainment activities, cultural and social competitions, and theater performances held on its stage. His Excellency’s keen directives emphasized the importance of direct communication with visitors, whether families, individuals, or government entities, and the necessity of considering their feedback. This had a significant impact on raising the general satisfaction index among visitors about the park’s facilities, enhancing cohesion and relationships within families and the community.

Al-Muhairi expressed his gratitude to the members of the organizing committee of the Desert Police Park and the volunteer teams for their efforts that contributed to the success of the fifth edition of the park. He also praised the important role played by the partners, who emphasized that cooperation and team spirit are among the key elements of success. He noted that the number of park partners increased by 29% compared to the previous year, reaching a total of 22 partners.
