Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) held its weekly meeting under the chairmanship of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council; and H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council.
The meeting, held on Tuesday at the office of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, discussed various topics on its agenda on the progress of government work in the emirate, the development of various services, and the monitoring of developmental projects across different sectors.
SEC approved a draft law amending certain provisions of Law No. (2) of 2018 on the organisation of the Sharjah Noble Quran and Sunnah Establishment (SNQSE), and directed its referral to the Sharjah Consultative Council.
Additionally, SEC issued a decision on the formation of the Shariah Oversight Committee for Endowments in the Emirate of Sharjah. The decision stated that the committee should be formed under the chairmanship of Dr. Qutb Mohammed Al Raisouni, with the following members: Judge Salem Matar Al Housani, Vice Chairman; Judge Dr. Ibrahim Rashid Al Shadaifat, Member; Judge Obaid Mohammed Ibrahim, Member; Dr. Awad Hussein Khalaf, Member;
Ibrahim Abu Ismaeil Amour, Secretary.
SEC also received a presentation on supporting the fishing sector in the Emirate of Sharjah and unifying efforts to enhance cooperation among cooperative associations for fishermen, with the aim of maximising the benefits for fishermen and increase interest in the fishing career.
