The Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) announced the closing of applications for the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence in its 30th cycle, through the award’s official website, after the applicants completed all the required data and attached the documents that qualify them to enter the competition.
The judging committees will start sorting the submitted files according to the main and sub-criteria for each category, followed by the announcement of the results and honouring the winners.
Ali Al Hosani, Director of SPEA, expressed his gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his continued sponsorship of the award, which is considered the oldest award in the country. He affirmed that His Highness’s unlimited support reflects his commitment to recognising and rewarding outstanding individuals in the field.
Al Hosani stated that the level of participation in the current cycle and the development in both the number and type of categories and judging criteria confirm that the award has achieved its intended goals, especially in promoting a culture of excellence among those working in the field and instilling the value of knowledge as a strategic option for the country’s development and growth.
He also praised the efforts of those in charge of the award, the judging committees, and the coordinators, as well as the commitment of the targeted groups and parents to participate and contribute to spreading a culture of excellence, creativity, quality, and precision.
For her part, Aliya Ibrahim Al Hosani, Director of the Sharjah Award for Educational Excellence, said, “We received a large number of submissions from various educational institutions and individuals, reflecting our community’s commitment to enhancing the quality of education and academic excellence.”
Al Hosani added, “The judging process will begin, evaluating the submitted files impartially and based on scientific foundations and specific criteria. We look forward to selecting winners who embody the values of excellence and creativity in the educational field. Through this award, we aim to motivate individuals and institutions to present their best innovations and educational achievements that contribute to the development of the educational system in the country.”
The award includes two main categories: the first is the category of distinguished individuals, which includes the branches of “Distinguished Teacher,” “Distinguished Inclusive Education Teacher,” “Distinguished Educational Leader” with two branches of “Top Leadership” and “Middle Leadership,” “Distinguished Student,” “Distinguished Student from Special Categories,” “Distinguished Support Roles,” and “Distinguished Parent.”
The second main category includes distinguished institutions, which encompass “Distinguished School,” “Distinguished Nurseries,” and “Supporting Educational Institutions and Partnerships.”
An exceptional award titled “Jewel of the Arabic Language” has also been introduced, reflecting the interest of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi in the Arabic language.
