The National Media Office (NMO) and the Emirates News Agency (WAM) today marked Flag Day, where employees participated in raising the UAE flag at the office building in Abu Dhabi, expressing loyalty to the nation’s symbol and pride in it, and affirming the spirit of belonging and pride in the wise leadership.

Dr. Jamal Al Kaabi, Director-General of the NMO, stated that: ‘’ The Flag Day is a national occasion in which we renew our pledge and loyalty to the banner of the homeland and its leaders. It is a confirmation of our pride and belonging to the past of our nation, its flourishing present, and its promising and bright future. It is also an occasion to renew our determination to sustain our work and move forward under the banner of our union to elevate the UAE’s status as a leader in various fields.”

He added: “As we celebrate our flag, the symbol of our national identity and a sign of pride and dignity, we have every right to be proud of what the UAE has achieved over five decades of significant accomplishments and successes recognised by the world. At the same time, we honour the diligent efforts of all those who contributed to the elevation of this nation and the raising of our flag, under which we will all continue to thrive as it flies high.”
