H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, emphasised that the 2nd of December is a defining moment in the history of the UAE, marking the beginning of a journey of prosperity, development, and well-being initiated by the Founding Father the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his fellow founding leaders. This historic journey was rooted in principles of wisdom, justice, and steadfast national and humanitarian values.
In his statement on the occasion of the 53rd Eid Al Etihad, Sheikh Saud highlighted the UAE’s continued progress under the wise leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, following the path laid by the founding fathers. The UAE’s exceptional achievements have elevated its global stature, establishing it as an international hub for trade, finance, innovation, and creativity, and a sought-after destination for living and tourism.

“On this glorious day in our nation’s history, and during this eternal moment in our journey, we celebrate the spirit of the union and the values it embodies. We honour the national legacy and lasting achievements of our founding leaders. The 2nd of December stands as the cornerstone of our proud union and the beginning of prosperity that has reached every corner of our generous nation.
‘’This date reminds us of the historic efforts of our founding fathers, whose unity of will and hearts, along with their aspirations for this land and its people, laid the groundwork for a strong and united nation. Their sacrifices have ensured safety, security, and prosperity for all who live under this flag and on this blessed land.
‘’The 2nd of December fills us with pride and gratitude for the wisdom and sacrifices of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and his fellow founding leaders. Their vision built a nation founded on wisdom, justice, love, and unity values that continue to inspire us toward a brighter future for generations to come.
‘’On this momentous national occasion, we reaffirmed our dedication to the nation’s leadership and principles. “The gathering of National Service graduates and reserve forces in Al-Sameeh area in Abu Dhabi, a place where the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum first envisioned the Union, symbolises the enduring legacy of the founding fathers. It affirms that the values of the union are preserved and carried forward by successive generations.
