Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al Hammadi, preacher in the office of the Islamic Affairs Department in the Central Region, stated that “Ten Days of Dhul Hijjah” are a time for obedience and drawing closer to God with good deeds, whereas the greatest day is the Day of Arafah, in which God expresses His pride of pilgrims to His Angels, and through which God sets free His servants from Hell.
He confirmed that the Day of Arafah is a great day, well known among Muslims for praying to God.
He explained that Arafah is a great day for pilgrims and the people of the regions, on which it is recommended to fast for those who are not performing Hajj, and it was narrated that the Prophet, Peace Be Upon Him, said that fasting on the Day of Arafah expiates for the previous year and the coming year, and it is befitting for the Muslim to work hard with obedience to get closer to God.
