The Arab Monetary Fund (AMF) is organising the 15th regular session of the Council of Arab Finance Ministers in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on Wednesday, as part of the annual joint meetings of Arab financial institutions, under the chairmanship of Nadia Fettah, Minister of Economy and Finance of the Kingdom of Morocco.
The meeting will be attended by the finance ministers of Arab countries, along with observers from the Arab League, the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, and the Arab executive directors of both the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group.
Dr. Fahad M. Alturki, Director General and Chairman of the AMF Board of the Arab Monetary Fund, stated that the meeting is an opportunity to discuss the challenges faced by financial policymakers in the Arab region within the context of regional and international economic and financial developments. He praised the efforts of Arab countries in public finance reforms and emphasised their importance in achieving financial sustainability and supporting inclusive and sustainable growth in a complex economic environment.
