‘DIHAD+ Rome’ initiative launched at Italy’s Luiss University to support humanitarian work

DIHAD, the sustainable humanitarian organisation, today launched the “DIHAD + Rome” initiative under the theme “International Relations: The Positive Global Citizen Concept,” at Luiss Guido Carli University in Rome, renowned globally for its academic excellence.

This global initiative is dedicated to advancing humanitarian aid and development. It addresses pressing international humanitarian challenges and the best solutions by a group of experts and decision-makers from around the world.

Amb. Dr. Abdulsalam AlMadani, Chairman of DIHAD Sustainable Humanitarian Organisation, Chairman of DISAB and PAM Roving Ambassador for the GCC Region, underscored the importance of fostering global cooperation and the pivotal role of educational institutions like Luiss University in driving humanitarian efforts forward.

Prof. Raffaele Marchetti, Deputy Rector for Internationalisation at Luiss University, emphasised the institution’s commitment to global engagement and underscored the pivotal role of international collaboration in humanitarian initiatives.

Additionally, Khaled Al Attar, Director-General of DIHAD Sustainable Humanitarian Organisation, delivered a lecture highlighting the importance of fostering a positive global citizenship mindset and emphasising the role of individuals and organisations in contributing to a more positive and cooperative global community to face today’s most pressing challenges.

Luiss University, renowned for its excellence in political and international studies, played a pivotal role in hosting this event. The university is ranked 19th in the world and 1st in Italy for Political and International Studies, as per QS World University Rankings.
