The Muslim Council of Elders is participating for the first time at the 25th edition of the Baghdad International Book Fair from 12th to 22nd September.
The Council’s pavilion features over 220 publications, including a variety of works that address key cultural and intellectual topics aimed at correcting misconceptions, promoting enlightened moderate thought, and fostering intra-Islamic dialogue.
In recognition of the deep respect and affection the Iraqi people hold for His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, the Council will showcase more than 20 of the Grand Imam’s works.
In response to the call of His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, during the Bahrain Dialogue Forum—where he stressed the importance of uniting the Islamic nation and strengthening Islamic solidarity—the Muslim Council of Elders at the Baghdad International Book Fair will host a series of seminars and lectures featuring prominent scholars, thinkers, and academics.
These activities aim to explore ways to enhance dialogue and understanding between various Islamic sects and build effective communication bridges, paving the way for a new era of cooperation and unity within the Islamic nation.
The seminars will also address the key contemporary and civilisational challenges facing the Islamic world, highlighting them as catalysts for intra-Islamic dialogue.
