Muslim Council of Elders participates in Rabat book fair

The Muslim Council of Elders is taking part in the 29th International Publishing and Book Fair in Rabat, Morocco.

Continuing its tradition of active engagement in international book fairs, the Council aims to promote and reinforce values of dialogue, tolerance, and coexistence.

The event, which began today and runs until May 19th, will showcase the Council’s diverse collection of over 220 publications in five languages.

Noteworthy among these are more than 30 works authored by His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders. These works highlight the tolerance and richness of Islamic heritage.

Additionally, prominent publications include “Basis of Understanding from Thought and Language” by His Eminence Dr. Mustapha Benhamza, a member of the Higher Scientific Council of Al-Azhar and the Muslim Council of Elders, as well as “The Pope and the Grand Imam: A Thorny Path” by Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam, Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, and “Muslims at a Crossroads” by Dr. Mahmoud Hamdi Zakzouk.

In its commitment to addressing vital intellectual, cultural, and Islamic topics, the Council’s pavilion will host various seminars, dialogues, and discussions. These sessions will feature distinguished scholars, thinkers, writers, intellectuals, academics, and university professors.

The Muslim Council of Elders participated in the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair, which concluded on 5th May. The Council’s pavilion attracted significant interest and interaction, hosting intellectuals, religious leaders, and participants from the Emerging Peacemakers Forum.
