Dubai Municipality, MBRSC announce Dubai Space Laboratory at COP28
Dubai Municipality and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at COP28 to establish the Dubai Space Laboratory. The lab is the first in the region and will focus on testing, researching and calibrating devices, materials and technologies used in space missions.

Nation’s first recycling plant for end-of-life batteries from EV

Dubai’s Drydocks World launches hybrid battery retrofits for small vessels in sustainability ride
Drydocks World is retrofitting one of its own harbour tugs with a new generation of battery technology, and one which will give it enhanced capacity. Once complete, Drydocks World plans to ‘explore opportunities’ to retrofit external client vessels, such as yachts and leisure craft. The company operates a massive ship-building and fabrication infrastructure at Mina Rashid in Dubai.
