Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports, stressed that the participation of 14 male and female athletes representing the UAE in the Olympic Games Paris 2024 constitutes a new important milestone in the UAE’s journey towards establishing its presence on the global sports landscape and achieving national sports ambitions and dreams and aspirations of ‘’our rising generations’’.
Dr. Al Falasi said, “We wish our champions the best in the Olympic event, and we follow them with passion and are confident in their ability to proudly represent the country in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.”
The UAE delegation comprises 14 athletes accompanied by 24 administrative, technical, and medical staff. The athletes will compete in five sports: equestrian, judo, cycling, swimming, and athletics.
From July 26 to August 11, 2024, the event will see 10,500 athletes from 200 National Olympic Committees compete in 32 sports across 329 events at 35 venues in the presence of 20,000 media representatives, and 45,000 volunteers. The Games include 754 events alongside 350,000 hours of television broadcast.
