SCA launches 2nd edition of Financial Market Pioneers Programme

The Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) has welcomed a group of young Emiratis to the second edition of its Financial Market Pioneers Programme at its Dubai branch, aiming to equip Emirati cadres for careers in the UAE’s financial sector.

This programme, an SCA initiative in collaboration with Sandooq Al Watan and Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) Academy, seeks to develop national talent by enhancing technical and theoretical skills, preparing participants for pivotal roles in the financial sector, and supporting the country’s sustainable economic growth.

Around 30 participants, representing both private and government sectors, have joined the current programme edition, forming an elite group from UAE-based financial institutions.

Dr. Maryam Buti Al Suwaidi, SCA Chief Executive Officer, said, “In cooperation with our strategic partners, we strive to mobilise all available resources to empower our young people to shape the future of the UAE’s financial sector. The SCA will continue its tireless efforts to supply this sector with qualified and distinguished Emirati cadres who can enhance its global competitiveness in line with the UAE’s strategic vision to position itself as a leading global financial hub.”

She emphasised that continuous learning is fundamental to a knowledge-based economy and central to the SCA’s mission to prepare a new generation ready to lead, adapt to technological advances, and enhance market efficiency with tools like artificial intelligence.

For his part, Yasser Al Gergawi, Director-General of Sandooq Al Watan, said, “Investing in our young people and offering them specialised training in this vital sector is part of our mission to promote our national identity and empower Emiratis to contribute effectively to the country’s sustainable development. We are confident that participants graduating from this programme will contribute significantly to the financial sector and help enhance its international competitiveness, which is in line with the UAE’s vision to move towards an innovation and knowledge-based economy.”

Hamad Sayah Al Mazrouei, Chairman of ADGM Academy, stated, “The continuation of this programme, marked by its second edition, emphasises the importance the ADGM Academy attaches to promoting the UAE’s financial sector by disseminating knowledge and offering top-notch training programmes to support Emirati cadres and enhance the skills and expertise of financial sector professionals.”
