In a remarkable achievement reflecting its ongoing commitment to excellence and innovation, the Consultative Council of Sharjah has successfully attained the international standard for Quality Management System 9001:2015 for the eighth consecutive time, in addition to passing the international standard for Knowledge Management System 30401:2018 for the second time.
Achieving these standards is a testament to the diligent efforts made by the Council, through its General Secretariat, to continuously improve performance and enhance the effectiveness of administrative processes, which fall within the framework of the Council’s efforts.
This accomplishment crowns the Council’s ongoing efforts to achieve administrative excellence and enhance institutional knowledge. Attaining the international standards for Quality Management and Knowledge Management Systems is evidence of the Council’s commitment and continuous pursuit to develop its internal systems and improve the quality of services provided, whether to the Council’s presidency, its members, and committees, as well as in terms of external communication and developing the internal environment. This achievement also reflects the leading role the Council plays in promoting efficiency and innovation in parliamentary work in Sharjah and solidifying its roles in institutional work.
In a statement on this occasion, Ahmed Saeed Ali Al Jarwan, Secretary-General of the Consultative Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, emphasised the importance of this achievement. He said, “Attaining these international standards for the eighth time in quality management and for the second time in knowledge management highlights the Council’s continuous dedication. Our methodical approach towards applying best global practices in operations management and knowledge development, amid the integrated efforts, focuses on quality and knowledge as fundamental elements for performance improvement and achieving strategic goals.”
Al Jarwan added: “We are continuing our journey towards excellence by implementing advanced management systems that contribute to enhancing work efficiency and delivering high-quality services. Adopting these systems particularly enhances the Council’s position as a leading parliamentary entity committed to providing the best services to both Council members and the community alike.”
Al Jarwan expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Council’s General Secretariat staff from various departments and sections for their dedication and commitment to international standards, which contributed to achieving this significant success.
