The health authorities in the UAE have unveiled an upgraded edition of the “Al Hosn” app, the nation’s digital healthcare platform dedicated to vaccinations and more. With new features aimed at safeguarding the health of younger generations, this update aligns with the goals of the National Immunisation Programme and underscores the UAE’s ongoing commitment to enhancing healthcare and protecting the community from infectious diseases.

The enhanced app now includes comprehensive vaccination records for children from birth to 18 years old. This development is expected to contribute significantly to achieving higher child vaccination coverage nationwide, a crucial measure in evaluating the effectiveness of the nation’s health strategy.

By utilizing the latest advancements in digital technology, the upgraded Al Hosn app will enhance the effectiveness of preventive measures against communicable diseases. It serves as a platform for proactive healthcare initiatives, leveraging the power of digital solutions.

The upgraded Al Hosn app, hosted on the national cloud, is the result of a collaborative effort with the “Riayati” digital platform, an integral part of the National Unified Medical Record (NUMR) system.

The latest update provides a wide range of digital solutions that enable families to monitor vaccination status and access records with ease and convenience. The user-friendly interface adheres to the highest standards, ensuring seamless usage for individuals of all backgrounds. Moreover, the updated app guarantees users access to accurate and reliable information through the collaborative efforts of the Ministry of Health and local health authorities.

Dr. Hussain Al Rand, Assistant Under-Secretary for Public Health at the Ministry of Health (MoHAP), emphasized the significance of the recent update to the Al Hosn app. As a trusted and credible national digital solution, the upgraded app marks a significant milestone in the UAE’s smart transformation journey in the healthcare sector. Dr. Al Rand highlighted that the updated app now enables easy access to children’s vaccination records, encompassing the National Immunisation Programme.

Acknowledging the effectiveness of vaccinations in preventing infectious diseases, the UAE government remains committed to leveraging smart technologies and applications to establish effective communication channels with the community. This commitment aims to ensure optimal health coverage and sustain high vaccination rates. Vaccinations play a vital role in safeguarding children’s health and strengthening community immunity, emphasizing the importance of these proactive measures.
