The International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI) Board meeting kicked off on Monday in the framework of the FEI General Assembly 2024 at the Conrad Hotel in Etihad Towers, Abu Dhabi.
The meetings, which will conclude on Wednesday, were attended by FEI President Ingmar De Vos, federation heads, and officials from both the International Federation and the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation.
Sultan Al Yahyai, Board Member of the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation, Chairman of the Equestrian and Racing Federation’s Showjumping Committee and President of the FEI’s Regional Group 7, emphasised that hosting the FEI General Assembly in Abu Dhabi enhances the UAE’s global standing.
He noted that the Regional Group 7 meeting reviewed several agenda. Preliminary proposals and ideas were presented for initial approvals from Group 7 members, with detailed technical discussions to follow at the annual technical meeting scheduled for early February in Sharjah.
