Dubai to benefit from record 349 business event wins in 2023

Dubai further consolidated its status as a central hub for international business events in 2023, with the city winning a record 349 bids to host international conferences, congresses, meetings, and incentive travel programmes.

Driven by Dubai Business Events (DBE), the city's official convention bureau, the wins reflected a robust 49% increase in successful bids compared to 2022. These events captured in 2023 are set to attract over 191,000 international delegates.

The Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) will convene its third session on Thursday, 25th January, as part of its work for the first ordinary session of the 11th legislative chapter.

The Sharjah Islamic Festival, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and organised by the Department of Culture for 40 days with the participation of artists from different countries of the world, concluded the 25th edition.
Mohammed Ibrahim Al Qaseer, Director of the Department of Cultural Affairs at the Department of Culture, said that the festival reached an exceptional global appeal, thanks to the patronage of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, and His Highness’s vision of the importance of the arts as a cultural aspect.
